Accessibility Statement

The North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization (NFRMPO) is committed to providing equitable access to all Coloradans. Our ongoing accessibility effort works towards the day when all NFRMPO services, programs, and activities are accessible, providing equal access to information and services to all Coloradans.

Our ongoing accessibility effort works towards being in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA criteria. To that end, the NFRMPO has a plan to prioritize, evaluate, remediate and continuously improve every digital touchpoint within our services, programs, and activities. Below, you’ll find just some of the measures that the NFRMPO is undertaking.

Measures to support accessibility

NFRMPO takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of NFRMPO:

  • Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods.
  • Integrate accessibility into digital communication products created by the NFRMPO;
  • Remediate active plans, documents, and reports previously created by the NFRMPO;
  • Periodically audit the NFRMPO website for accessibility issues; and
  • Seek continual accessibility training for our staff.

3rd Party Tools & Resources Esri/ArcGIS Online Content created within Esri/ArcGIS Online programs assist in presenting information about NFRMPO work in a more interactive and easy to navigate format. Staff is working to ensure this content incorporates accessibility standards but is also presented in other formats when necessary. Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. NFRMPO website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of NFRMPO website, there may be some limitations. Few items are not owned by NFRMPO, and are controlled by a third party, and hence might have certain sections with accessibility compliance issues as per WCAG.
