The NFRMPO periodically provides public comment periods to provide a forum for public input on the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), and other documents.

2026 Freight Northern Colorado (FNC) Public Survey The 2026 Freight Northern Colorado Public Survey is currently open! Make your voice heard on freight transportation planning in the region, including trucks, delivery vehicles, freight trains, aviation, pipelines, and commercial micromobility. Plans and Programs in Development

The NFRMPO actively works on plans, programs, and projects throughout the year. The following Plans, Programs, and Projects are currently active. Outreach opportunities are highlighted for each project in the table below.

US34 Transit Plan
LinkNoCo Phase I concluded in 2022 and Phase II kicked off in 2024. Check out Link NoCo Phase II: US34 Transit Plan.
Get involved: A major part of the project is community engagement, sign up to receive updates on the plan.
2025 Active Transportation Plan (ATP)
The 2025 ATP will outline the region’s shared Active Transportation goals and improvements to the region’s Active Transportation System. The ATP is updated every four years and must advance the goals and objectives stated in the 2050 Regional Transportation Plan.

Freight Northern Colorado Graphic 2026 Freight Northern Colorado Plan (FNC)
The NFRMPO is currently working on a new version of the Freight Northern Colorado Plan (FNC), set to be published in 2026. The purpose of the FNC is to provide a guide for the improvement of the overall freight system within the North Front Range region.

The 2025 Coordinated Plan Graphic The 2025 Coordinated Plan
The Coordinated Plan aims to identify transportation issues, service overlaps, and gaps affecting vulnerable populations, including older adults, individuals with disabilities, and low-income individuals, within the urbanized portions of Larimer and Weld counties. It also outlines goals and strategies to address these identified issues. As a recipient of FTA §5310 funds, the NFRMPO updates the Coordinated Plan every four years with guidance from the Larimer and Weld County Mobility Committees, local stakeholders, transportation providers, and other public members.
