This Go-Tober, everybody wins! Mark your calendars from October 1st to 31st, 2026, for the “Go-Tober” Regional Challenge in Northern Colorado! The “Go-Tober” Regional Challenge is a North Front Range initiative to improve air quality by encouraging commuters to skip solo drives and choose sustainable transportation options such as transit, biking, walking, vanpooling, and carpooling.

Join the North Front Range in the first annual fall regional challenge this October during “Go-Tober”! Starting this October, Way to Go challenges companies and commuters to join the “Go-Tober” challenge to improve air quality by encouraging commuters to skip solo drives and choose sustainable transportation like transit, biking, walking, vanpooling, and carpooling.

“Go-Tober” has been an annual challenge in the Denver region for the last couple of years that has seen amazing success in encouraging commuters to choose sustainable transportation. During the 2025 Go-Tober challenge, Denver-area participants reduced 112 tons of carbon dioxide emissions and saved almost $200,000 in commuting costs!

Help the North Front Range area improve air quality and encourage commuters to choose sustainable transportation by signing up your organization or yourself for Go-Tober before the challenge starts on October 1. If you have any questions, we can share tips on how to support your team or yourself in making sustainable commute options by highlighting new and existing transportation benefits, workplace amenities, and more.

What is the “Go-Tober” Regional Challenge?

The “Go-Tober” Regional Challenge is a partnership among several communities in the North Front Range region, uniting large and small communities to encourage residents and visitors to walk, bike, roll, carpool, vanpool, or ride transit to get people out of their cars. It doesn’t matter if you’re walking to the grocery store, heading to the office, meeting a friend at an event, or biking to the brewery on the weekend; any trip counts if you would normally drive your car.

There are several reasons to participate:

  • Challenge yourself! – Set a goal to ride and walk more this summer.
  • Challenge others! – Compete against your family, coworkers, friends, or the region to cover the most miles.
  • See the region in a new way! – Explore great trails, transit options, and paths to experience things you can’t see when driving.
  • Improve our air! – Each time you avoid driving, you help the region reduce transportation-related air quality issues.
  • Put money in your pocket! – Transit, biking, walking, carpooling, vanpooling, and rolling are affordable ways to get around, and you don’t have to pay for gas!
  • Win a prize! – Participants will be eligible to be entered into a random drawing for various prizes after tracking at least five trips each week, with two grand prizes at the end of the month!
